May 24, 2003 ::: i've had learning to spin on my list of things to do for a couple of months now. today i bought my first drop spindle and 2 balls (0.6 lbs each) of wool roving. one ball is a caramel color, the other a natural shade of off-white. i'll post pictures soon. the evening was a bit taxing for me emotionally so i've unplugged the phones, swang my wang dang and am settling in for some practice spinning. it's 'bout to be on. what are we gonna do tonight, brain? same thing we do every night, pinky... ::: posted by nakachi at 12:32 AM\| May 22, 2003 ::: i tried my hand at making decorative stitch markers last night. much easier than i thought it would be. the one on the left is my favorite. it's difficult to see in the photo, but the wire is wrapped around the ring giving it a wavy look. very pretty, methinks. that's a size US5 needle they're hanging on and that's the sun rising behind my bedroom blinds. you'll be pleased to know the sun rose beautifully again. i made sure. you're welcome. ::: posted by nakachi at 5:46 AM\|
