March 31, 2003 :::
here it is, this is it, this is it, and here it is. my blog of things made with hands. don't expect a mission statement. this is an evolving place, a world in the making, a creative space for creating.
the title, "i'll make me a world", is a line from a poem in one of my favorite books of verse, james weldon johnson's god's trombones: seven negro sermons in verse. the poem is the creation:
And God stepped out on space,
And he looked around and said:
I'm lonely -
I'll make me a world
and here we are. now, ain't that good?
